About Me

Introduction

A personal HomePage can be likened to a Book Jacket. Assuming it is self-authored, it is a self-definition, proclaiming ' Here I Am. This is What I Think.' It can be other things to other people, but it is still the Front Yard. However, this page is not really about me, but about the issues raised, and my conclusions, But, again, some people are apt to simply dismiss the argument, based on his opinion of the writer.

I am ...

I am an Observer, a Poser of Questions, a Seeker of Patterns and Trends, of Origins and Futures of Microcosms, and Macrocosms. I am an Optimist and an Idealist, but still the Realist. I have a Masters in Library Science, and have worked as a systems analyst & programmer, since before the days of DOS.

I do not consider myself a scholar nor intellectual. As a voter, I have been unenrolled for many years, yet regularly vote.

What's Important

Family, of course, the one into which I was born and the one which I helped to create. Friends too. We (the latter family) moved more than most, I have had the good fortune to encounter good people.and harbor good memories, for I have known people worth knowing. My word is important, and with it, good will and fair play.

Faith...

I am not a religious person, perhaps, because I ask too many questions, and the answers returned, too often, to me, lacked substance. My grounding is nominally Christian, but the chasm between (my understanding of) the words and principles attributed to the Christ & the words and actions of so many of the so self-professed seem so vast. I hold in high esteem, those who are able to apply those Christian ideals in their daily lives. but hold in less than low regard, those who falsely profess, in order to deceive. But between those two extremes, most Christians fall, many professed as childern, some, later, in good faith, others for social purposes, but far too few are able and/or willing to synchronize that faith within their secular lives & politics.

I would also like to acknowledge the technical assistance by Paul Kaplan the intellectual contributions of MC & PK,
plus the dogma induced illogic and debating tactics of DJA.
