This site is under construction - consider it a work in progress. I need all the help I can get, with comments, corrections, digital images, stories about people who worked there, etc.

While the concentration is on the Flynt Quarry, sections have been added now, on both Flynt Park & the Flynt family, and one on Oral Histories related to the area..
These new sections are rather sparse, more of an outline than being informative. You are invited to contribute if you have any family stories about the Quarry and/or the people who worked there, or tales about swimming in the Quarry or hunting in the area.
I have done extensive web searches which have been remarkedly productive, given the ever expanding quantity of historical material which is now available. An attempt has been made to provide links to the sites containing that material.
If you have old pictures of the Park or the Quarry - in particular, what is currently needed are pictures of the old swimming hole, the trestle across Main St., and the New London Northern siding.
