Manual for Neo Conservatives
(and want-to-bees)

Mission Statement

Anable, My alter ego, challenged me to provide an accessible manual for Neo-Conservatives, and want-to-bees, since, given his incompetence, and lack of understanding of free-markets capitalism, religion (particular Christianity,) and the process of gaining/retaining political power, he obviously is not able to understand nor appreciate our movement.

Because of the sensitive nature of the material, it should not be accessible to real Christians, real Conservatives (economic and/or political,) academic historians, etc, hence the request to provide the additional data (below.)

Confirmed Neo-Conservatives

Sorry, the content of this Section is too sensitive for your reading. If you had a stroke or something, or something worse, and need a refresher course, go back to top and select another option.

If you are losing confidence in our continued effectiveness, given the problems in Iraq and/or the unofficial economy, do not despair, please talk to another Neo-con.

If you have lost your job due to outsourcing or a merger, or your pension fund has just cut your payments, it is not our fault. What the world does not need now is a whining former Neo-Conservative, so we suggest you take one for the Kipper. Your options are as follows (in order of preference)

1. Kamikaze attack. Instead of a plane, use your car. on a gathering of liberals or at the unemployment office. (Similar approaches seem to be effective in Iraq, using explosives) (Most of your fellow neo-cons are employed, or don't need to be, and therefore most likely will not be there.) This final action will serve our movement, given that you are no longer able to contribute in other ways. The objective is to take out more of the opposition than our supports, and make our unemployment estimates more creditable.

2.Stage a Pseudo-Suicide. where you (or your survivors) can blame your death on our opposition, or terrorists. This has two advantages, first, your survivors will be able to collect your life insurance, and second, and more important, it will add to our credibility, and reduce that of our opponents.

3. Commit hari-kari. This Japanese (samurai) form of suicide, although honorable, is not recommended, it is more honorable to take care of your loved ones and to serve our cause - you already know that honorable deception' is not an oxymoron, and you are not a moron.

4. Quietly Wait and take your chances in the possible well-managed pandemic.

But remember, you are smarter than the average guy, and clever enough to out-flank and to outwit our opponents.

back Want-to-Bees. back

First, you should understand, that you can claim to be a Neo-Conservative, without any understanding of our objectives just as many self-proclaimed Christians do about their fuzzy faith, just make the claim, but (unlike Christians) there are some basic rules of conduct such as 1) unquestionably support our leaders; 2) accuse anyone who disagrees, as being unpatriotic, or worse, a liberal. You do not have to understand the logic, rationale, and/or wisdom of any policy or action, legal or otherwise.

What you must understand, is there are concentric circles within our movements, not unlike some masonic organizations, but most definitely unlike Dante's Inferno. Most of the knowledge and power is limited to the most inner circles, with the outer circles lending their support.

However there is a form of Purgatorio (as in Dante's Devine Comedy,) where those who, via tacit or unwitting support (by not participating in the political process (not caring enough to vote)) will forever dwell. However, this might be considered the most outer neo-circle. But you have obviously care enough to explore the possibilities of joining our crusade.

The Right of Passage to the inner neo-circles (or Right Passage to the Right of Right, as it is known by some) is a protected previlege, available to only the deserving few, as judged by the chosen few. You will be judged, at this point, not only what you say or write, but also what you view and read (we have our ways of knowing.) You should limit your sources of news to FoxNews & the Wall Street Journal, and Rush Limbaugh, and definitely avoid (plus demean) CNN, the History Channel, the NYTimes. the Washington Post, LATimes, and those that watch or read them) It is alright to occasional watch the Weather Channel, but, only when you expect good weather - if you expect otherwise, blame it on the Main Stream Media, and if your expectations materialize, blame it on those liberals.

If you have internet access, there are also certain newsletters you should also avoid reading, such as The Daily Reckoning, the Information Clearinghouse, the Privateer, and even the foreign Affairs newsletter, and the Miser Daily Article (although the last two sometimes support some of our positions.) These are not good for you, and will only pollute your mind with liberal ideas and contrary, but, mostly anecdotal evidence. of our various covert activities.

We have also revised the political spectrum , moving Fascism from its traditional place on far Right to where belongs, on the far left, to the left of socialism & communism where it should be. This is merely a tactical move, given the bad charma the term has, given the failures of Hitler and el Duce. We simply do not want anybody to even suggest, that our policies & actions are slipping in that direction. So if anyone makes that assertion, just question their logic, and correct them with the correct(ed) political spectrum as if that is the way it always has been. This should work in most cases, unless the doubter was actually paying attention in their Civics class

It is assumed that you are already a Republican and regularly vote Republican (Again, we have our ways of knowing.) , but if not, it might take a bit longer, maybe at least two presidential elections.

You have seen the light, (but you are, by no means, the proverbial moth, and you will not get burned - that is a punishment reserved for those damned liberals)

Admittedly, there is some deception involved, in order to confuse the opposition, and retain our allies, but you are obviously up to the task. We will teach you the tactics, and you can have fun outwitting the doubters, giving you a sense of pride in your cleverness, not like the warm and fuzzy feeling felt by those principled liberals. So be a real man, neoconit

back neo-Neo-Conservatives. back to top

Welcome, so you have finally decided to really join our crusade. Don't worry, there are no secret handshake, or anything like that. In this part of the manual, you will learn how to present our positions, regardless of whether you understand them. You will also learn what issues to avoid, and how to change subjects quickly, as well as a lexicon of terms.

You will note that we use the prefix (pejorative, when our critics use it) neo but we find it useful here (and in the lexicon.)to denote the differences.

We will first identify our allies, and the deceptions required to maintain their support or at least keep them quiet, and still claim their support. The primary blocs are 1) the Christians; 2) traditional conservatives; and finally, 3) our corporate America (that is large corporations and their major stockholder.) The first two provide the votes, and the third, the major funding.

As well, we sill address other issues, you might have to defend, such as the economy , Aggressive Nationalism and Civil Liberties.

The Christian. back to top
>

This group is so amorphous, the task is now relatively easy. Admittedly, it was not as easy as in the good old days, in the days of the monarch, when the kings basically appointed the church leaders, who spoke with one voice. Today, with democracies & republics, all we have to is 1) claim that we are a Christian nation; and 2) appeal to their Old Testament values. But first, A Short History of the Long Relationship Between State & Church , assuming you are not familiar with it.

Again, this abbreviated history should not be acknowledge or even discussed, particularly with anybody outside the circles of our movement. It has been provided as background material only. Never intentionally bring it up, because it is a lose-lose situation. Never mention Dr. Strauss nor the term secular Christian nor respond to any questions about them.

We must keep our Christian supporters comfortable within their disconnected faith. Just claim we are a Christian Nation, and even claim that was the intent of the Founders, who were all devote Christians. You will seldom be challenged, particularly by people who consider themselves Christians, and have no (or little) knowledge of Christian or American history

If challenged by liberal-leaning doubters, who might have some understanding of history, simply change the subject, as if the discussion is over and you won the argument and they are just too stupid to realize it. If they persist, simply stop communicating with them on these issues, as if they no longer exist. They are simply lost souls, unlikely to ever embrace the light, Christian or Neo Conservative.

Paleo-Conservatives. back to top

This is a fuzzy group includes, those holding 1) traditional social values, smaller government proponents, and the free market guys. Another short history is provided on the changes in American Conservatives The New Conservative Divide: Paleocons versus Neocons, Frankly, they (the paleo-conservatives) have no place else to go, regardless of our policies and actions - we are their only hope of seeing their values implemented into law or policy. We will address each below.

Traditional Social Value Proponents back to top
These are the people who think our country has gone (or is going) to Hell in a hand basket, and they want to selectively turn the clock to the good old days. This includes some in the Christian Right How far back is the question that never should be asked. Simply pay lip service to their general premises, without going into specifics, and blame the current problems on those liberals. Never get into specifics (of how far back,) with regard to involuntary servitude, gender equality, voting rights.

If you get cornered, and have to give some details as to how far back you are willing to support, a normally safe line to draw is just short of burning witches at the stake, but you are willing to consider this punishment for sexual deviants, and perhaps some heretics (i.e.,liberals.) But first, if possible, gauge your audience, because some might take umbrage to where the line is drawn, (in either direction)

Small Government Proponents back to top
These are the people who do not want to pay for large government or large government welfare programs such as Social Security, Medicare, Unemployment Insurance, etc. Even though they are no longer really paying for the large government (and programs,) given our budget deficits, so we have accomplished at least half the job. To demonstrate our progress, always use non-milary figures, and seletively include or exclude Social Security payments, depending on the point you are attempting to make.

If doubters complain about the idea that the size (and cost) of government has actually increased, just point out that their taxes have not, and we are not done. and if we have our way Social Security will be privatized, which should solve everything.

Many of the Small Government are also Free Markets Proponents, but do not worry, most are not conerned about civil liberties for those who can't afford it, and thus shouldn't have it - they are more concerned with regulations on their property and businesses, and want more latitude in both areas

Free Markets Proponents back
This is the rallying cry for most capitalists and entrepreneurs, but, it is really an euphemism for less government regulation and interference. It also means the elimination of all anti-trust obstructions and market oversight, and allowing for the greater concentration for most industries and services, plus allowing greater (undetected) latitude for the resultant titans of commerce (& industry) between what they claim and what they do.

Most of the small capitalists and entrepreneurs, might have some problem with this, but it will happen before they realize it - these (small) guys will either go bankrupt or sell out (via mergers or acquisitions.) So do not worry about them, because, like the secular control of Christianity, it is a good thing to happen, because the resulting situation is easier to manage.

If a doubter claims the this is not what John Locke had in mind. do not argue, even if you know who John Locke was, merely state we must let business of business must be left to the businessmen.

Of course, even the neo-economy, some management of the economy is required, and it much easier to do it, when are a few, but larger, corporate participants. One special case is covered in more detail in an appendix to this manual in The Myth of Market Manipulation. This deals with one aspect of the neo-economy which must be managed, that is the normal boom and bust cycles, and the idea that some covert manipulation is really required, as is keeping the Illisiopn of prosperity intact.

Corporate Citizen. back to top

So far, this general group has benefited the most from our leadership, at least the large multi-nationals and their (major) stock holders. But we have an increasingly difficult task ahead of us to keep the small time capitalists and entrepreneurs, content in their illusion that they will be able to profit in the neo-economy, with the elimination of anti-trust laws.

For the most part they are just dreamers, thinking they too can become industrial (or financial, or retail) magnates in the promised land of globalization and corporate consolidation. So laud their effort and let them dream, blame their problems on the government over-regulation (which your people will eliminate) and if their (few) good ideas work, they can be bought out by the bigger guys.

There is some speculation, that these guys, landed gentry are the real power and brains behind our movement. It is true that is the source of much of our financial support, and they have benefited the most, so far, and this should insure their continued support, but this simply another part of the paradigm of illusionary prosperity. The continued corporate consolidation will make it much easier to manage (reward acceptable behavior, and punish the unacceptable, be it legally or covertly.)

Rest assured that we are only using these guys, and they are not really in control. It is not even about the trappings of self-wealth. it is more rush one gets attaining and exercising power, particularly when it requires deception. (You see, we, and now you, are obviously smarter than most of our opposition, and particularly our allies.) But getting back to our relationship with the upper classes, or landed gentry.

the Economies back

A distinction should be made between the present economy and the future of the economy. See A Short History (and Future) of Economic Evolution for a general background discussion. As that Appendix points out, we are currently in a transition to the post-industrial economy, and the current our tasks are 1) to keep the Illusion of Prosperity intact. 2) to retain our positions of power, which muchly depends on the first task.

It is important for you to respond in the following manner when asked about the economy: 'the economy is fine and getting better even when you sense it is not.

We are doing our part, with the skewing the economic reports, such CPI , GDP , and UnEmployment Reports and Wall Street is doing their part with all the rosy forecasts and helping us with managing the neo-markets You must keep the illusion alive, and give any doubters second doubts about their conclusions. It is the patriotic thing to do.

Now about the future exonomy. In many ways, the situation will be similar to Merry Ole England, before the days of Parliament. The King (or the wisermen behind the throne) is in charge, but he needed lords to manage his lands, so he granted them land & special rights & previleges. The result was then paleo-feudalism, in which the lord or other noblemen (the landed gentry) had almost complete control over the people (serfs) living on their land (except when the King needed some in his army.) In the neo-feudalism, , it is much the same, except the nobility has been replace by the neo-lords, which should much easier to control. Those were the good old days, which was fine, but the promise of the neo-feudalism is better.

We (the wisermen) have learned our lessons from history, and not just of England, but also from the unsuccessful 20th century Fascism, and will not allow these virtual or neo-lords to usurp the power we have so cleverly amassed.

We even selected and then got elected (& re-elected) the neo-kings, in fact, two and half of them. We will grant the landed gentry more control over their neo-subjects, getting them closer to vassals or serfs, (the subjects, not the neo-lords ) by privatizing Social Security, Medicare & eliminating unemployment insurance, thus, making every subject/citizen very happy to even have a job at whatever wage in the neo-economy.

The invention of the corporation was a stroke of genius, and how it has evolved and has been integrated in our economy is a marvelous example of cooperation between the secular authority and the neo-landed gentry. While there have been some setbacks, (such as anti-trust laws, ) it has created a situation in which real (and concentrated) control is possible, A Short History of the Corporation is provided in case you want delve further. We only recommend this, if you anticipate having to sound intelligent, otherwise, simply dismiss and doubters, with something like you're no economist or historian!

This form of feudalism is superior to the old British model, at least for the corporation and landed gentry . it limits responsibility & accountabiliity for the neo-serf, once he is voluntarily (or involuntarily) released, all under the umbrella of free trade. It (the corporation) is the land in the terms neo-landed gentry and/or virtual-landed gentry. in the neo-economy.

Now you might ask (assuming you are paying attention) How does fit into what we are really doing? Well, my neo-Neo-con friend, we are cleverly managing the transition to the inevitable neo-economy and keeping the secular authority in the hands of wisermen where it belongs. Take pride in that we are doing it in the greatest democratic republic, the world has ever known.

There are still unsolved issues with our Corporate Citizens. While their outsourcing of jobs and use of automation has created a surplus of would-be workers in the labor markets, and held wages down, it is creating an increased burden on the existing social services. That and the retiring (longer living) baby boomers are significantly increasing the unproductive portion of population - a re-balancing is in order, and we are working on it. (See Appendix entitled What the World Needs now is. . ..

Obviously, the above is intended for your eyes only, and never to be discussed outside the neo-circles. While it might not offend our wealthy and generous benefactors, and actually might amuse some of them, it might be considered another bit of anecdotal evidence of manipulation by some misguided liberals.

Aggressive Nationalism. back to top

This is the third Straussian strategy (after Deception, and the use of Religion) to acquire & to retain political power. It normally requires 1) enemies, (real or imagined); 2) an eminent (but vague) threat (again, real or imagined);; 3) a sense of moral (national) superiority, and finally 4) some victories.

Islamic Terrorism presented the ideal threat, and a diverse group of potential enemies from which to select military adventures, and still retain the sense of an omnimous danger, much the way that communism worked in the last century.

While our selected enemies were not godless commies, nor were they Christians either, so our secular Christians would be pleased.

But we still needed additional justification for the Second Gulf War, so we manufactured (for) Saddam, his WMDs (weapons of mass destruction) program, to cover our grab for control over his oil production - and the mission was complished, regardless of what the critics say. While some will point out that the production of oil has not yet reached its pre-invasion levels, we never claimed it was for the oil, and the failure to find any WMDs or program, that was just bad intelligence - the invasion was still justified, accomplished, and successful.

Don't worry about the critics and the continuous stream of bad news from post-invasion Iraq. First, FoxNews will only report the progress we are making, and more people get their news from those patriots, than any other news source. Second, we are making some progress, they have officially adopted democratic form of (imposed) government, and they have Saddam on trial for his crimes against humanity (not ours.)

We consider this whole thing an opportunity to actually raise the general standards as to how the general public re-acts to deception & manipulation, that is, increase their tolerance of such. This should be useful in smoothing out the other bumps (in the road) in our domestic problems, such as the credibility of our official economic data, and the misdeeds/ethical-lapses of some of our leaders and supporters. It is refreshing (and clever) to see our titular leader, acknowledge responsibility without any accountability.

The tactics you should employ to counter the critics, are 1) question their patriotism; 2) claim they don't give a damn about the soldiers over and the families here; 3) claim that we (and our puppet regime there) are making progress; 4) claim that they just hate our President and are just being political. These tactics should work well with most who have a family member, or neighbor, or a friend, even a friend of a friend over there.

Civil Liberties back to top

As we revert to neo-feudalism , the civil liberties of the neo-serfs are bound to take a hit. We are already making progress in this area, under the guise of national security to protect us from the potential horrors in the war on terror. And, to wit, given the muted public re-action to the President's latest admission on domestic spying, and his neo-denial by asserting he had a Constitutionsal obligation to act illegally, so he didn't break any laws, it seems we have added more grease to this slippery slope.

But don't worry about your civil liberties, because you are now one of us, on the winning team, and as long as you behave accordingly, you have nothing to fear (and we have our ways of knowing if you don't.)

Current efforts are under way to distance our government from the political liabilities of such transgressions under current laws and Constitutional restrains. Tiered contracting is one of them, which is when our government contracts with a corporation, and the corporation, subcontracts to either a wholely owned subsidary, and/or independent contracting - for domestic spying. In such a case, it insulates the state, and the parent corporation, from any accountability.

back Others. back

I am sorry, but this website is not for you. However, there some things you should know and/or believe. First,Neo-Conservatives are your friends, and have your best interest in mind.

if You are a Christian back

We are on your side, and need your support, so get in line with our polling data. It makes no difference whether you read the Bible, or belong & attend any church, just respond yes to the question on any poll asking the question, and support our crusade. Take umbrage to anyone who might suggest that you are a secular Christian, it is an oxymoron, and you are not a moron. Remember, Conservative and Christ begin with the same first letter, and our movement is the best chance of putting Christ back into Christmas, prayer back in the public classroom, and make homosexuality not only immoral, but also illegal.

We will support your efforts (but our idea) to amend the Constitution to include the Ten Commandments and officially state that we are a Christian Nation, things that our Christian Founders, according to the liberals, did not make clear.

if You are moderate Republican. back

We are are now in complete control of the party, (you might say the Christian soul of the GOP) and you have no place else to go, other than becoming one of those liberal democrats, and that is just unthinkable. So, just vote the neo-party line.

if You Consider Yourself a Conservative. back

Again, we are on your side, regardless of any budget deficits or increases in the size of government Remember, conservative is part of our name, so trust us. Pay no attention to the details and reject the idea that neo-conservative is an oxymoron.

if You Consider Yourself a history Buff. back

Your version of history is out-of-date, and we are in the process of re-writing the official neo-version. Remember, more people are getting their news from FoxNews, than from the History Channel. So go back to sleep or, at least, be silent

if You still have some doubts.. back

Don't worry, you are in good hands, just watch FoxNews, they will tell you so. If you are not sure of the issues, relax, and be concerned about the latest run-away-bride story, which is far more interesting. If you still have some doubts, care enough not to vote.
