Apparently the unfinished Rail Road was also known the Grand Trunk, which crossed Rte 32 just to the South of Fay's Bridge. The concrete abutment on the East side of the road was taken out in recent years. The roadbed of the RR is a nice walk from Rte 32 to Rte 20 (or Fentonville. You can the remains of the Blanchard mill (on the Quabog) from it, not far to the East of Fay's Bridge..
I am not sure whether they are refering to the road bed of the trolley, when they write about the Golf Course, but it does possible explain evidence of a roadbed between Bunyan Rd & Hospital Rd on the East side of the Chicopee Brook, again another nice walk.
